Concerto-Aria Competition Final Round

University of Puget Sound music students present their very best solo performances as they compete in this public final round of the annual School of Music Concerto-Aria Competition, hosted by Alistair MacRae, artist in residence and director of chamber music.

The Concerto-Aria Competition has been an honored tradition in the School of Music since 1981. Students participate each year in this highly competitive program that highlights their work as musical soloists.

Symphony Orchestra Pan-Asian Celebration

The Symphony Orchestra at University of Puget Sound is pleased to present, "My Sister's Voice: A Pan-Asian Contemporary Music Celebration," conducted by Anna Wittstruck featuring the voices of Saili Oak and Dawn Padula performing pieces by Reena Esmail, Oswald Huỳnh, and Wenbin Lyu.

Puget Sound Wind Ensemble

Join us for Puget Sound's Wind Ensemble concert, conducted by Gerard Morris with guest conductors Rickey Badua, MAT '07 and Minna Stelzner, MAT '17. This concert is part of the 2023 Society of Composers, Inc. Region VIII Conference being hosted by the School of Music Feb. 24 and 25. View the conference schedule.

Enjoy a variety of short performances by Puget Sound students during the School of Music Noon Convocation.  Performers in this week's convocation include Juno Baranow-Watts '23, guitar; Aiden Higgins '24, cello, with Jinshil Yi, piano; Jane Beacock '24, clarinet, with Jinshil Yi, piano; Ethan Chythlook '26, violin, with Jinshil Yi, piano; and Holland Mueller '23, violin with Dirt members Ellie Olpin '24, mandolin; Paige Franklin '26, violin; Cole Simkin-Boyar, guitar; and Avi Graf '25, bass. 

The Noon Convocation Series is free and open to the public.
