Fall 2022 Blues Vespers Concert: Joel Astley & Johnny Burgin

Our last on-campus Blues Vespers show for Fall '22 welcomes award-winning front-man Joel Astley on vocals and harmonica, joined by guitar wizard Johnny Burgin.  Blues Vespers is in its 25th year in Tacoma, and has offered 5-6 shows a year at Kilworth Chapel to bring our surrounding community into campus for "blues, poetry, and a little something to think about" since 2019.  All are welcome to this free performance!

Squid Game Night

Join us for a night of Korean games (ddakji, gongi nori, hacky sack, dalgona, and more)! There will be FREE KOREAN FOOD and PRIZES for participants.

An Evening with Stephen Kramer Glickman

At An Evening with Stephen Kramer Glickman, the audience will enjoy a night of songs and stories about their favorite stars! Best known for his role as Gustavo Roque in the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush, Glickman is an accomplished pianist and will delight the audience with his renditions of popular songs. His debut album released in 2021 went viral following his rendition of the song Crazy by Gnarl Barkley went viral on TikTok. He will also conduct a Q&A where he will answer questions about the audience's favorite celebrities. 

Campus Diwali Celebration 2022

Students, faculty, and staff who celebrate Diwali - and those on campus who want to help them celebrate! - are invited to this drop-in gathering celebrating the Festival of Lights. Food and sweets will be available starting at about 5 p.m., and until 6:30 p.m. there will be time for social gathering, enjoying lots of lights and food and music, and event the chance to paint your own Diya! Hosted by the University Chaplaincy and students celebrating Diwali.

Multilingual Poetry Night

Come recite a short poem (~300 words) in a language other than English--original pieces are welcome! Language learners and native speakers of other languages are both encouraged to participate. Haunted Wheelock 2023

Wheelock Town has been haunted. Come navigate your way through the apotho-scary, Wheelock Town pumpkin patch, the haunted school house, and more.  Dress the part in your culturally aware Halloween costume and come get your treat (or tricks) throughout Wheelock Town. Visiting the haunted town is possible during the limited time of 2-4 p.m. on October 31, but throughout Wheelock on October 31 you may find Halloween-themed rubber duckies.  Find one and return it to the swamp by the haunted school house/Dean of Students Office to win a prize.
