Welcome Back Chapel Celebration

New and returning Loggers - students, faculty, and staff - are invited to our annual "Welcome Back!" Christian celebration in Kilworth Chapel.  Student leaders, Religious Life Advisors, and members of the University Chaplaincy will hold a space for worship, connection, conversation, and prayer as we start the new school year.  This is a great chance to celebrate the wide diversity of our Christianities at Puget Sound.

Passages Havdalah

New and returning members of our Jewish community on campus (students, faculty, staff, alumni) are welcome to gather for a brief, student-led Havdalah at 4:30pm.  We'll gather on Ferguson Plaza (in front of Wyatt Hall) to bid farewell to Shabbat for another week.

Hosted by JSU and the University Chaplaincy.

Fall '23 Swope Lecture: What's Jesus Got to Do With It? Anticipating the Demise of Cultural Christianity

The Swope Endowed Lectures are pleased to welcome Ann Holmes Redding back to Puget Sound for an evening of reflection on her ongoing scholarly and personal work on the ways the figure of Jesus is used to create and sustain a "cultural Christianity" that is often at odds with the ways Jesus is understood in scriptural and historic contexts. This contrast opens space for spiritual and social movements to engage with Jesus in critique of cultural Christianity and in support of liberation and justice.

Items are all under $10 and include (but are not limited to) minifridges, microwaves, rugs, storage containers, shower caddies, notebooks, lamps, board games, kitchen utensils, and more!
