Colin O'Loughlin

Director of Residence Life

Education: B.A. St. Martin’s University / M.Ed Higher Education Loyola University Chicago

Colin serves as the Director of Residence Life at Puget Sound. Colin started at the University of Portland as a Hall Director, and came to Puget Sound as a Resident Director prior to becoming Director of Residence Life. As the Director, Colin has direct oversight of the residential program at Puget Sound. Colin’s interests include assessment of student belonging, academic residential programs, leadership development, and the city of Tacoma.

Cullen Green

Education: B.S. Biology, Pacific University. M.Ed. Secondary Education, Westminster College

Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, Cullen worked as the Coordinator of Operations at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and the Director of Residence Life at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his free time, he enjoys exploring around Tacoma, finding new sushi restaurants, and immersing in the occasional good book.

Carole Ann provides the Residence Life staff and Student Leaders with administrative support. One of the things that Carole Ann enjoys most about her role is the relationships that are built with the students. Carole Ann lives locally, loves to spend time with her large extended family, spend time outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and is a proud Tacoman!

Michael Ricker

Education: M.S. in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University, B.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies from Whitworth University

Before coming to the University of Puget Sound, Michael worked in Residence Life at the University of Utah for a year and the University of Portland for three years. Michael is passionate about leadership development, community building, and helping students find their why. Outside of Puget Sound, Michael loves to watch and play all sports, be outdoors and explore, and play board games with friends and family. Michael always has a smile and a positive attitude, so if you see him around campus be sure to say hello!

JoAnn is the Resident Director of Todd-Phibbs, Regester, and Seward Halls. Before joining Residence Life at Puget Sound, JoAnn worked at Whitman College as a Resident Assistant for 2 years and a Resident Director for 3.5 years, where she focused on community building, student leadership development, and helping students navigate their college experience. At Puget Sound, JoAnn is excited to get to know residents, support student leaders, and collaborate with campus partners to create welcoming and inclusive residential communities.

Sydney Archibald-Wilson

Education: B.S. in Health and Human Performance from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT

Sydney is the Resident Director for Thomas and Trimble Halls along with the Campus Houses. Before coming to Puget Sound, Sydney worked with students in housing at Montana State and found a passion for helping students transition into a new stage of their lives. Sydney worked as an RA at Montana State for 2 years, as a Student Resident Director for 1 year, and as a Resident Director for one year. Sydney enjoys hiking, thrifting, and spending time outdoors!
