“This is an exceptional class of inductees who have made significant contributions to Logger Athletics," said Interim Athletic Director Jeff Thomas. “Their achievements and dedication have left an enduring legacy on our programs, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Hall of Fame.”
The Puget Sound Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1966 to honor extraordinary individuals in the rich history of Logger Athletics. Since its inception, 106 student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and contributors have been inducted.
Emily Lau - Golf
Lau was a trailblazer for Logger women’s golf, becoming the program’s first NCAA All-American in 2007. That same year, she led Puget Sound to its first-ever Northwest Conference (NWC) team championship and NCAA tournament appearance. Lau was the 2004 NWC individual champion and still holds program records for most wins, most top-five finishes, and best scoring averages in both a single season and a career.
Janece Levien - Soccer/Track
Levien redefined soccer scoring records during her standout career with the Loggers. She netted 71 career goals and tallied 146 points, including 25 game-winning goals. In 2007, she set the school record for goals in a single season with 25. Levien was also a three-time NWC Offensive Player of the Year, a three-time All-American, and a two-time recipient of the university’s Alice Bond Outstanding Athlete Award.
Chris Myhre - Swim Coach
Myhre served as head coach of Puget Sound swimming for more than 30 years, leading the Loggers to six NAIA national championships and 15 NWC titles. He coached 71 NAIA All-Americans and 21 NCAA All-Americans. Myhre made an incredible mark, twice earning the NAIA Coach of the Year. Additionally, he was recognized as the NWC Coach of the Year six times, showcasing his exceptional ability to inspire and develop talent. His influence extended beyond competition, with student-athletes often citing his mentorship as life-changing.
Al Roberts - Football
Roberts made a lasting impact on the football field and later as a coach at the collegiate and NFL levels. In 1967, he set Puget Sound records for single-game rushing yards with 192 and single-season rushing yards with 576. He also owns the second-longest run in program history at 90 yards. Roberts went on to coach at Washington University, Purdue University, and for NFL teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, and St. Louis Rams.
Jill Voorhies - Softball
Voorhies played a key role during one of the most successful eras in Logger softball history. She was named NWC Player of the Year in 2001 and earned All-Region honors twice. Voorhies holds school records for career hits with 165 and single-season hits with 50. She ranks among the top three in Logger history for batting average and runs scored. Off the field, she was a Phi Beta Kappa inductee and received the Roberta Wilson Award.
