Residency: Reentry Theatre of Harlem

Add to Calendar 2025-10-20 15:00:00 2025-11-17 12:30:00 Residency: Reentry Theatre of Harlem Re-Entry Theatre of Harlem (RTH) is an independent nonprofit based in NY, developed by and for people who have lived experiences in the US criminal legal system.  The University will host Alex Anderson, founder of RTH and Rory Anderson, Assistant Art Director for one month during which they will visit students in their classrooms across Theatre Arts, Crime, Law and Justice studies and forge connections with local organizations working on arts and social justice. "The residency will include a roundtable, an interactive arts exhibit, a film screening, and a student performance, all centered on the theme of how theater can serve as a catalyst for healing, community reintegration, and social change" (Veronica Craker, The Hatchett Weekly).
