Loggers Keep Learning Minneapolis
President Isiaah Crawford invites alumni and parents to join him for Loggers Keep Learning in Minneapolis.
This event is a great opportunity to connect and network with the Logger community and hear campus updates. You’ll also get to be a lifelong learner by engaging in a presentation from Peter Hodum, Biology Professor and Director of the Environmental Policy & Decision Making Program.
Topic: Cities as Biodiversity Havens: Exploring Urban Contributions to Regional Conservation
In today’s expanding urban environments, the vital role that cities can play in conserving biodiversity is frequently overlooked or dismissed. However, cities have the potential to contribute to regional biodiversity by acting as important sanctuaries for threatened and endangered species. Join Peter Hodum in his presentation, where he will provide an overview of how urban landscapes can actively support regional biodiversity and discuss findings from his student-led research focused on conservation efforts in the greater Tacoma area.
Appetizers and refreshments are included. Reception starts at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation begins at 6 p.m.
Please submit your RSVP by Thursday, March 28.
We hope to see you there!
