Last Night of Classes ASUPS Special Event aka Grizz’s Winter Bash and Mistletoast

Add to Calendar 2025-12-10 18:15:00 2025-12-10 22:00:00 Last Night of Classes ASUPS Special Event aka Grizz’s Winter Bash and Mistletoast The annual end of semester event features horse-drawn carriage rides, cakes celebrating birthdays, pizzas donated by Farelli’s, tarot readings and a new addition of a community mural painting led by JOANNE TAWFILIS, PH.D, muralist and cofounder of the ART MILES MURAL PROJECT, which she stated over 25 years ago while in Bosnia heading a United Nations project to help lift widows out of their trauma with projects of economic independence. Having both an MBA and MFA with a concentration in portrait painting, Joanne volunteered at a local orphanage where she taught kids how to paint. There, the Art Miles Mural Project was born and has since been featured on TecX and has grown globally to inspire the painting of over 5,500 murals in 100+ nations. Joane is also founder and executive director of the Muramid Arts & Cultural Center in Oceanside, CA. Presented by ASUPS and Student Involvement Late Night Programs.
