All academic majors have a role in diplomacy. Graduates from all fields have become successful Foreign Service Officers and Specialists. Career fields include: Information Technology, Administrative Management Affairs (Human Resources, Financial Management, Facility Management, General Services, Procurement/Contracting, Medical, including Laboratory Scientists, Nurses, Physicians and Physician Assistants), Law Enforcement and Security (Diplomatic Security Special Agent), Public Affairs/Diplomacy, Economic Affairs, Political Affairs, and Consular Affairs. We also have a special program called Consular Fellows for speakers of Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, or Portuguese.
