Forest and Beach Walk with Puget Sound Professors
This event is part of the Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIM-OC) global health initiative.
Join Puget Sound Professors Gary McCall (Exercise Science) and Danny McMillian (Physical Therapy) for an invigorating walk in Pt. Defiance to promote physical and mental health while enjoying the natural beauty of South Puget Sound! The walking distance will be approximately three miles and last for about one hour, rain or shine. This event is free and open to the public.
The walk is part of Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIM-OC), a global health initiative founded in 2007 by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) with the American Medical Association (AMA) as a result of the evidence that physical activity plays a powerful therapeutic role in the prevention and management of many chronic health conditions.
Pt. Defiance Park. Meet at 2:45 p.m. on campus in the Thompson Hall parking lot near the walkway to Schneebeck Concert Hall to form carpools.
