Euphonium Residency with Steven and Misa Mead
The School of Music is pleased to welcome guest artists Steven and Misa Mead for a two-day euphonium residency. British-born Steven Mead is widely regarded as one of the most successful professional euphonium soloists of the day, performing over 75 concerts per year with some of the leading orchestras, wind, brass, and military bands worldwide and has elevated the instrument's visibility. His innovative, pioneering work with the euphonium has gained him worldwide fame, and he is in high demand as a recitalist and clinician in the world of bass playing.
Misa Mead, born in Japan, is a euphonium star, having won numerous prestigious awards and competitions, and is an active freelance composer and orchestrator.
Join us for dynamic sessions, free and open to the public, including a recital performance, chamber music coaching, and master class.
