Cello Master Class with Elizabeth Simkin

Add to Calendar 2025-01-29 18:00:00 2025-01-29 19:30:00 Cello Master Class with Elizabeth Simkin Elizabeth Simkin, longtime cello professor and current associate professor emerita at Ithaca College, will join the University of Puget Sound School of Music cello studio for a master class.   Professor Simkin has performed in 21 countries over her cello career. She served as a U.S. Artistic Ambassador and has played and taught at festivals including Spoleto, Klasik Keyifler in Turkey, Bowdoin, and Heifetz. Simkin was a student of and teaching assistant to Janos Starker at Indiana University, and studied at the Eastman School of Music with Steve Doane and at the Oberlin Conservatory with Richard Kapuscinski.    In the class, School of Music cello students Liam Abbott '26, Connor Adams '25, and Avi Graf '25 will perform Beethoven, Dvorak, and Bach.  All are invited to join us in the audience to hear the advice and wisdom of Professor Simkin!   Location support@kwallcompany.com America/Los_Angeles public
