Piper Foulon (she/her) is a musicologist and musician from Tacoma, Washington. She holds Bachelor's degrees in History and Music from Pacific Lutheran University and a PhD in Historical Musicology from the University of Michigan. Her current research focuses on defining the musical and phenomenological uncanny in the context of the Russian avant-garde at the turn of the twentieth century. She has given papers at the annual meeting of the American Musicological Society, City University’s Annual Graduate Students in Music Conference, and the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies’ Annual Conference. In her spare time, Piper helms a music project, Love Visa, which performs frequently in Seattle and Tacoma.
