Jeff Perala-Dewey

Visiting Instructor, Chemistry

Jeff Perala-Dewey is an environmental analytical chemist who uses chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify and measure pollutants in our environment. By measuring a chemical’s concentration across different environmental media (air, water, soil, etc.) we can better understand how they move through our environment and impact humans and wildlife. In addition to teaching at the University of Puget Sound, Jeff is a researcher at the University of Washington Tacoma’s Center for Urban Waters.
