Alonso Tirado is a violinist who began his professional career in the world of performance and education. Alonso earned his Bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Puget Sound where he specialized his training on violin and drum-set. Alonso has performed professionally with a wide variety of musical ensembles ranging from symphonies and city ballets to rock bands and pop groups. Alonso has also spent the majority of his professional life teaching in the greater Seattle-Tacoma community, serving as a private teacher, classroom teacher, musical coach, and general educator at institutions such as The University of Puget Sound, Annie Wright Schools, and his private teaching studio. Alonso has gained enormous passion for working with youth orchestras through his experience working with the Tacoma, Maple Valley, and Seattle Youth Symphony organizations. During the summers, Alonso enjoys taking his dog, Eddie, on walks in many of Tacoma’s parks and seal-spotting at Owen beach.
