The DGC seeks wide representation from across campus, especially focusing on offices that house data owners and data stewards. This includes: Academic Advising, Academic Dean, Admission, Business Services, Career and Employment Services, Finance, Human Resources, Institutional Research, International Programs, Library, Registrar, Student Affairs, Student Financial Services, Technology Services, University Counsel, and University Relations.
The Data Governance Committee is currently chaired by Francisco Chavez, Chief Information Officer, and is organized into four standing subcommittees:
- Academic/Faculty - chaired by Gareth Barkin (Associate Dean’s Office)
- Data Definitions - chaired by Martha Wilson (Office of Admission)
- Data Ownership - chaired by Faithlina Abeshima (Technology Services)
- Regulatory Compliance - chaired by Michael Pastore (Registrar)
