Armand

Hi there! My name is Armand (he/him) and I’m from Portland, Oregon. I’m a senior double-majoring in Business (BLP) and Economics with a minor in Politics and Government. On campus, I play outfield for the Logger baseball team, sit on the Budget Task Force, and previously worked as an RA in Anderson Langdon Hall! In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. I would love to answer any and all questions about Business, Econ, and Politics and Government, navigating school, or anything else you may be wondering about! Feel free to reach out. Hello! My name is Winston (he/him), I’m from San Pablo, California, and I am a junior studying Biochemistry. I am involved in various activities around campus - I’m a Biology Storeroom Assistant, I’m in Pre-Health Club, and I’m  the President of our student government. Some things I enjoy are walking around and exploring new areas of Tacoma and Washington, spending time with friends, and thrifting! Hello! My name is John (he/him), and I am from Auburn, Washington! Currently, I am studying Biology with a minor in Bioethics. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and hanging out with friends. Hey! I’m Shannon Delahunty, a junior from Boulder, Colorado, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Math. I’m a big fan of all things science, but outside the classroom, you’ll usually find me drawing, crocheting, hiking, or hanging out at one of the campus cafés. Hi, I'm Luna (they/he)! I am a senior from El Cerrito, California and I'm majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a Biophysics minor. I didn't come to college expecting to like chemistry but my classes here have taught me to love it! When I'm not in class I'm usually dancing in RDG, beading, crocheting, or listening to fantasy audiobooks. I'm excited to work, chat, and learn with you!

I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Luna (she/her), and I’m from Richmond, California (Bay Area). I’m a Junior majoring in Chemistry (BS) and minoring in Biology and Human Consciousness, Creativity, and Meaning. I’m a player on our ultimate frisbee team, Clearcut, and I love getting outside whenever I’m not in lab. On campus I also work for our campus visit program but you might also have seen me fulfilling some of my RA and general chemistry CA duties. While a lot of my life is chemistry focused now, I absolutely hated the subject before coming to UPS. With that, please don’t hesitate to stop by and chat about either your love or frustrations with the subject because believe me, I’ve been there.

Hey! My name is Simone (she/her), and I’m a senior studying Chemistry with minors in Math and Education. On campus, I’m involved with RDG, KUPS, and work as a lab CA. Outside of school, I love crafting, exploring coffee shops, and listening to new music (I’m always looking for recommendations). Hi! My name is Emma and I am a junior majoring in chemistry and music. On campus, I also work as a tutor for the math department and play clarinet in both the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. When I’m not in a lab or practice room, I can be found climbing, kayaking, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe. I love talking about all things chemistry and I am so excited to work with you!

Wendy

Hi, my name is Wendy (she/her). I’m from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and I’m a senior double majoring in Psychology and IPE, with a minor in Economics. As a native Chinese speaker, I love helping others learn more about my language and culture. I also work at the Office of Study Abroad at UPS, so if you’re thinking about going abroad, come talk to me! Outside of class, I love traveling. I studied abroad in Athens, Greece last semester. I also enjoy snowboarding in Hokkaido, Japan, and cooking all kinds of food. If you have a good recipe, I’d love to hear it!

Hello, my name is Lily! I am a senior majoring in Computer Science and Neuroscience and am minoring in Math, Theatre, Data Analytics and Music. On campus, I sing in Puget Sound Singers, participate in Curtain Call and Bare Bones Theatre Collective, and am in Kappa Alpha Theta. I also love doing crafts, reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. I also work in the Finance Office on campus and tutor through the Computer Science department. Bonjour! My name is Charley (they/them)  and I'm from Redwood City, California. I'm a junior here at UPS, majoring in English and Communications, with a double minor in French and Spanish! I’m also a Co-Reader here at the CWL! I've been speaking French since I was five years old, and I'm excited to study the language further with you! Hallo! My name is Amalia (she/her) and I have lived both in California and Germany. I’m a freshman here at UPS, majoring in German & Eastern European Culture and History. I’ve been speaking German my whole life and I cannot wait to share my knowledge with you and learn together! Some things I enjoy doing on campus are looking for Blue, singing with Puget Sound Singers, or spending time with my friends. Hi! My name is Tyler Olson, and I’m from Tokyo, Japan. I am currently a Junior majoring in IPE (BA), Economics (BS), and the BLP (BA), with a minor in Mathematics. I enjoy playing recreational volleyball, snowboarding, and overspending on shopping sprees. As a native Japanese speaker, I am excited to further explore the language with you! In addition, given my familiarity with Japanese culture, I hope to give you some insight into the nuances within the language, as well as general advice for anyone interested in living in or visiting Japan. よろしく！

Hi, I’m Elii (they/them) and I’m from right here in Tacoma. I’m a junior Mathematics major, as well as a grader and occasional tutor for the Mathematics Department. I like writing, video-editing, and social deduction board games. I also work as an administrative assistant for the Theater Department here on campus. Hi there! My name is Maddie and I’m from Sun Valley, Idaho! I’m a junior double majoring in Psychology and Neuro-spirituality. On Campus, I’m a SUPS coordinator, a member of Greek Life and a yoga instructor who frequently hosts classes on campus! I love exploring the world and studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark last semester. Hello :) My name is Sarai (She/her) I’m a sophomore from San Francisco, California! I am majoring in Earth and Environmental Sciences with a double minor in Chemistry and Spanish. You can usually find me getting crafty at the makerspace, dancing with RDG, or touching grass with PSO. I’m a proud Mexican/Salvadorian who grew up speaking Spanish at home. At UPS I’ve taken SPAN 202, 203 so far. So excited to be a part of your learning journey of this vibrant language!
