Eliza, CWL tutor

Hello! My name is Eliza & I’m a sophomore studying Religion, Spirituality & Society, African American Studies, and Gender & Queer studies. When I’m not studying you can find me pacing Wyatt, or flexing my hostess skills for my house guests. I am super passionate about all things scholarly, so I’m excited to connect, hear about whatever you are currently working on, & offer my support. :) Kisses!

Janae, CWL peer writing and speaking advisor

Hi! I’m Janae (she/her), and I’m a senior majoring in English (Creative Writing Concentration) and minoring in Communication Studies. Outside of class, you’ll probably find me in Oppenheimer Café with a cup of tea, in Wheelock reading pieces for Crosscurrents, or somewhere new, trying to finally write my novel. Feel free to chat with me about books, your presentation woes, and all the aspects of writing a paper. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Luci, CWL peer writing and speaking advisor

Hiya! My name is Luci (she/her), and I’m a senior from Santa Barbara, California. I’m majoring in History and minoring in Latina Studies and Math. Outside of the classroom, I’m one of the women’s varsity crew co-captains and I love being outside year-round in Washington. I enjoy reading (anything from a good romance to a historical memoir), cooking and dancing in the kitchen (a spatula is my go to microphone), weekly polar plunges in the sound, and bizarre earrings. I'm looking forward to being a part of your writing and speaking journey!

Miles, CWL peer writing and speaking advisor

Hi! My name is Miles (he/him), and I’m a senior from Denver, Colorado. I am a Chemistry and SOAN double major with a minor in vocal performance! I keep busy on campus working as a lab CA, singing in choir and a cappella, performing in the opera theater productions, and running chem club. In my spare time I like visiting coffee shops, hiking, exploring Washington, and working on sewing projects with my local quilt group. As a chem and SOAN double major I have faced many lab write-ups and big papers. I know how daunting they can be, and I’d love to chat with you and help with figures, formatting, content, and more for anything from lab reports to ethnographic essays! I look forward to working with you!

Nainoa, CWL tutor

I’m Nainoa (he/him), a Junior originally from Chicago. I’m part of the Postmen frisbee team and enjoy photography, rollerblading, and writing in my free time. On the academic side, I’m in the BLP, majoring in psychology, and minoring in chemistry. I love the process and outcome of writing, whether it be short stories, essays, or lab reports. For me, writing is about clarity, knowing what you’re trying to say and how to communicate it to your reader. I am excited to work with you!
