Puget Sound Logo   The Campaign for University of Puget Sound: Greater, We Ascend

Dear Campus Community,

I hope you will join us to celebrate the public launch of Greater, We Ascend, the campaign for the future of Puget Sound, during Homecoming and Family Weekend on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. This milestone marks the public phase of our historic campaign, and we are proud to announce that we have raised $100 million toward our overall fundraising goal of $150 million.

At Puget Sound, we bring greatness to life through curiosity, courage, collaboration, and a commitment to making a difference in the world. Since 1888, our community has challenged itself, gone beyond the expected, and put ideas into action. Greater, We Ascend builds on this legacy, celebrating the people and experiences that define Puget Sound and investing in all that lies ahead.

We Ascend Together: The Public Launch of Greater, We Ascend
Friday, Oct. 23, 2026
5:30–8 p.m.
Tennis Pavilion
Register at pugetsound.edu/homecoming.

Guided by our Leadership for a Changing World strategic plan, the campaign focuses on three pillars:

  • Logger Experiential Commitment: Hands-on learning through internships, research, study abroad, and athletics.
  • Educational Access Commitment: Expanding scholarships and financial aid so more students can make a Puget Sound education their own.
  • Lifelong Learner Commitment: Supporting faculty excellence, alumni mentorship, and the pursuit of knowledge that lasts well beyond graduation.

The campaign also celebrates the vital role of the Puget Sound Fund, which provides flexible, annual support for the people, programs, and experiences that make our university exceptional.

At the launch event, we’ll celebrate the people and ideas that bring Puget Sound to life every day. The evening is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, enjoy performances and stories from our community, and explore the many ways Puget Sound is shaping the future. We’ve accomplished so much together, and this is a chance to celebrate our progress and imagine all that lies ahead.

A special acknowledgement goes to the students, faculty, and staff who are contributing their time, ideas, talents, and energy to make this celebration possible. From sharing the stories of our community to creating interactive learning experiences and preparing performances to coordinating many details behind the scenes, your contributions are a reflection of the remarkable work happening across our campus.

Best,

Victor Martin | Vice President for University Relations
