Update on the Presidential Search | October 6

Dear Members of the Campus Community,

I am writing on behalf of the Presidential Search Committee to share a brief update on the search for the University of Puget Sound’s 15th president.

The search continues to move forward as planned and remains on track to meet the timeline shared on the Presidential Search website. In recent weeks, the committee has been actively engaged in the candidate evaluation process and recently completed an initial round of virtual interviews with candidates. The committee is now preparing to continue its conversations with a smaller group of semi-finalists later this month, all of whom have a demonstrated commitment to the liberal arts and championing the education and experiences we offer at Puget Sound.

We are encouraged by the strength and depth of the candidate pool. I appreciate the focused engagement of each of our committee members individually and the thoughtful work of the committee and our search partners at DSG | Storbeck collectively. The committee remains committed to a thorough, inclusive, and rigorous search that will identify our next outstanding president who will help lead the university to even greater heights.
