Technology Services (TS) has planned the following maintenance. Details are below.

SafeConnect: Policy Key Client Update
Monday, Oct. 26 | 6:30 a.m.

Some users have reported trouble connecting to PS-CampusAccess Wi-Fi on Mac computers running macOS 27 (Golden Gate). To resolve this issue, Technology Services will update the SafeConnect Policy Key. This is a small program that runs on a quick security check on computers, such as for current system updates and antivirus, each time you connect to the campus network. It runs in the background and helps keep the network safe for everyone.

SYSTEMS IMPACTED: 

  • Campus wired Ethernet and PS-CampusAccess Wi-Fi connections.

REASON FOR MAINTENANCE:

  • Technology Services will be updating the Safeconnect Policy Key client to a newer version to resolve issues with some MacOS 27 Golden Gate systems.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Does this affect me?

  • Anyone connecting to the campus network may be asked to log in again after the update.
  • If you use a Mac running macOS 27 (Golden Gate) and have had trouble connecting, this update should fix it. Not sure which version you have? Click the Apple menu (top-left corner of your screen) and choose About This Mac.

What do I need to do about it?

  • If your computer connects normally, nothing. The new Policy Key will install automatically.
  • If you can’t connect, open a web browser. A SafeConnect page will appear with a link to download and install the new Policy Key.
