Dear Loggers,
We are excited to announce the opening of a new commuter lounge. The Grizz Lounge is a dedicated space for our students who do not live on campus. The commuter lounge is designed to serve as a restful retreat, a collaborative workspace, and a central hub for commuter students between classes, activities, and long study sessions.
The lounge, which is located in Thomas Hall Room 270, will be available to students from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. We invite the entire campus community to join us in celebrating this exciting addition with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 12 p.m.Refreshments will be served and there will be a giveaway of a $25 Logger Store gift card. We hope to see you there! (Thomas 270 is located on the ground level of Thomas Hall, door opens to the outside).
This new lounge is a direct response to student feedback. Our commuter students balance their academic lives with travel and off-campus responsibilities. This new space represents our commitment to ensuring all members of the Puget Sound community feel supported, connected, and at home while on campus.
The commuter lounge is more than just a room. It’s a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment and a culture of belonging for every member of the Puget Sound community. I look forward to seeing the space become a vibrant center for community, connection, and success.
Sincerely,
Sarah Rush Comstock | Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
