Dear Loggers,
While no campus is completely free of crime, we are dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for you to live, work, study, and conduct research. One way we achieve this is by providing our Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report every year by Oct. 1. This report is in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
The report includes information about safety and security resources, policies, and procedures. It explains how to report crimes and instances of sexual misconduct, details the University of Puget Sound’s response to such incidents, and highlights available victim support services. Additionally, it covers training and outreach efforts, how to access the daily crime log, emergency response and evacuation procedures, and details regarding emergency notifications and crime alerts.
Moreover, this report includes three years' worth of crime statistics collected from various sources, including the University of Puget Sound Security Services, local law enforcement agencies, and campus officials responsible for student and campus activities (known as Campus Security Authorities). These crime statistics are also reported to the U.S. Department of Education.
A copy of the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report is attached to this email. You can also find a copy of this year's report at pugetsound.edu/security-services/annual-security-report-clery
Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this report or any safety concerns.
Sincerely,
David Ferber, Ph.D. | Director of Security Services
