Dear Loggers,

Although no campus is free from crime, we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for you to live, work, study, and conduct research. One way to accomplish this is by providing a copy of our Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report every year by October 1 to comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requirements. This report covers safety and security resources, policies, and procedures, including how to report crimes and sexual misconduct; the University of Puget Sound’s response to sexual misconduct; victim support services; training and outreach; how to access the daily crime log; emergency response and evacuation procedures; emergency notifications and crime alerts.

Additionally, this report contains three years’ worth of crime statistics gathered from various sources, including the University of Puget Sound Security Services, local law enforcement agencies, and campus officials with significant responsibility for student and campus activities (known as Campus Security Authorities). These crime statistics are reported to the U.S. Department of Education.

A copy of the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report is attached to this email. You can also find a copy of this year's report at pugetsound.edu/security-services/annual-security-report-clery. If you would like a paper copy of this year's report, don't hesitate to contact Security Services.

Please feel free to contact me, if you want to discuss this report or any safety concerns.

Stay Safe,

David Ferber, Ph.D. | Director of Security Services
