Dear Faculty and Staff Members,

CHWS is offering a COVID-19 Booster vaccine clinic on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 1:20 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. in the Rotunda in Wheelock Student Center for faculty and staff who have received the primary COVID-19 vaccine series.

A primary COVID-19 vaccine series is two shots of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer/Comirnaty or Moderna) or one shot of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

  • If you received an mRNA primary series, you should wait at least six months before getting a booster.
  • If you received the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine, you should get a booster two months after your primary dose.
  • You can read more about the CDC guidelines for boosters here.

At this booster clinic, participants will receive a booster dose of an mRNA vaccine, Moderna. The Moderna booster is offered free of charge. You must bring your original vaccine card, or proof of your prior vaccine, and a photo ID. Please wear comfortable clothing and a short-sleeve shirt. After you receive your booster shot, you will be required to remain in the observation area for 15 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

You may sign up for the booster vaccine clinic using this link: https://calendly.com/chws/booster-clinic-moderna-november

As a reminder, ALL members of the campus community are required to complete COVID-19 gateway testing upon returning to campus following Thanksgiving break. You may drop off a completed saliva test upstairs in Wheelock, or do walk-through testing in the Rotunda from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday–Thursday, Nov. 29–Dec. 2.

Please note that our COVID-19 Dashboard is updated every Monday. Please refer to the dashboard for the most up to date information related to COVID-19 cases on campus and our current risk threshold.

Please email contacttracing@pugetsound.edu if you have any questions regarding the booster clinic, testing, or our COVID-19 Dashboard.

Best wishes,
