Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

Staff members in Counseling, Health, and Wellness Services have coordinated with the Pierce County Department of Health to host COVID-19 testing on campus on Sept. 1, 2020, the first in a series of mass testing planned for the fall semester. Future testing dates will be announced once confirmed.

There will be two Pierce County Department of Health mobile testing units on campus on Sept. 1, and we are writing to invite our faculty and staff members to take a COVID-19 test at no charge. All staff and faculty members who plan to be on campus this fall are strongly encouraged and recommended to be tested on each mass testing date.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to be tested at no charge. Appointments are only 15 minutes long and can be scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 1 only. Appointments will be filled first-come, first-served. To prioritize testing for those staff and faculty members who are consistently and regularly working on campus, we ask that those on campus less frequently register for appointments between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

Should staff or faculty members test positive, they will be notified by phone by Dispatch Health, the medical provider conducting the tests, within 48 hours. Staff or faculty members who test negative will be notified by phone in five to seven days.

Please sign up here for a time that you are sure you can keep as we have limited availability and want to ensure as many people an opportunity to test as possible. We will follow up with a reminder, preregistration forms, and additional information for registered participants.

Please feel free to respond to this email with questions.

Sincerely,

Your Human Resources Colleagues
