The Green Fund was established in 2013 as a way to support campus community members seeking to implement projects improving campus sustainability and promoting environmental justice. ASUPS recognizes the urgency of climate change, and the necessity to work towards improving sustainability; this fund is how ASUPS can directly support and encourage involvement with sustainability and environmental justice.

The Green Fund is open to all individuals, clubs, organizations, and departments. It is funded by students, for all campus community members. The money comes from the ASUPS student government fee; each year 1% of the total levied fees for ASUPS is allocated to the Green Fund (ASUPS Financial Code Article II, Section 3, D-E).

The fund is administered in multiple cycles throughout the academic year. The fee should be utilized as a resource for campus community members, either individually or collectively, who have relatively concrete ideas for a project.

Campus community members have many opportunities to apply. Capital projects may only apply for the same project once within the same academic year (special circumstances may be considered).
