Whether you’re already passionate about public health or simply looking for a career with purpose, the Pathway to Public Health (P2PH) is your invitation to explore. P2PH bridges the gap between your undergraduate studies and your next steps on your professional journey. Designed to create a seamless transition to our Master of Public Health (MPH) program, P2PH will introduce you to the world of public health, ensuring you are well-prepared for a successful graduate experience, or wherever your interests in community and public health take you!
What Does the P2PH Program Offer?
Become Part of the MPH Program Community
As a P2PH participant, you will be welcomed into the MPH Program community. This means you’ll have the opportunity to build connections with current MPH students and faculty. You can draw on these connections and support as you work on your undergraduate papers, research, and senior theses.
Engage in Research with the Health Equity Research Lab (HERL)
Get involved in meaningful public health research projects led by MPH faculty by participating in HERL, our Health Equity Research Lab. This hands-on experience is more than a resume builder; it will deepen your understanding of health equity issues and research methodologies.
Become a Public Health Student Association (PHSA) Affiliate Member
You’ll become an affiliate member of the MPH student association, PHSA, allowing you to network with peers who share your passion for public health, attend diverse campus and community events, and meet guest speakers and public health professionals.
Attend MPH Events and Classes
Get a sense of graduate-level education by attending MPH events and sitting in on classes. This exposure will give you a head start in understanding the curriculum and culture of an MPH program and expose you to information that may be useful in your undergraduate classes.
