Advancing careers.
Loggers like Joe Kurtis ’87, P’17 (pictured left) have served as mentors for students in the Business Leadership Program and hosted students in their workplaces. This past winter 17 alumni welcomed students across the country for half-day job shadowing experiences—offering an engaging and realistic taste of what aspiring young professionals might encounter on the job.
Planning the event of the year.
Class officers and reunion volunteers partnered to make the June 2016 reunion the best yet. More than 700 Loggers from classes ending in 1 and 6, Greek alumni, and Air Force ROTC members gathered on campus to reconnect with friends and attend alumni college.
Recruiting future Loggers.
Alumni volunteers bring Puget Sound to life for prospective students and their families at college fairs nationwide. In 2015–16 alumni volunteers interviewed more than 183 prospective Loggers (and convinced many of them to enroll).
Building connections.
Members of the Black Alumni Union met with students during Orientation to build connections that will sustain and support students throughout college and beyond.
Cheering the Loggers to victory.
Volunteers in Spokane and Los Angeles organized pre-game receptions for Logger football fans with Head Coach Jeff Thomas.
