A night where we 'break down' the importance of the decomposition process!
Slime molds and skeletons and scavengers, oh my! Have you ever wondered how long it takes for bones to decompose? Or how vultures can eat rotting remains without getting sick? If so, please join us on October 30 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the museum for this spooky, Halloween-themed Night at the Museum!
Specimen preparation- As always, our Collections Manager and skinners will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. Ask questions and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations! Specimen preparation will be located in room 297.
Live animals- Get up close and personal with some special guests from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium!
Guest speakers-
Trick or treat- Answer a question at each table and earn a piece of candy!
Kid's craft- Come and create your own Halloween mobile!
Costumes are encouraged!
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event.
Join us October 30th, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the University of Puget Sound Campus (located at 1500 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98416) in Thompson Hall room 295.
