Add to Calendar 2026-02-10 19:00:00 2026-02-10 20:00:00 Spring 2026 Susan Resneck Pierce Lecture - Grace Youn '13 We're excited to have Grace Youn ’13 deliver the Spring 2026 Susan Resneck Pierce Lecture in Public Affairs and the Arts on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. Youn is a Los Angeles–based multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer, and songwriter whose remarkable career bridges classical music, rock, pop, and beyond. A Tacoma native, Youn earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance from Puget Sound, later completing advanced degrees at the University of Texas at Austin. Her recent work involves touring internationally as a multi-instrumentalist on Hozier's 2025 world tour, performing in major arenas and headlining festivals worldwide.In her lecture, “The Art of Not Knowing Yet,” Youn will explore how rigorous training builds extraordinary skill while cultures of excellence can sometimes quiet curiosity. Reserve Ticket Master Class #2 - Feb 11 | Noon-1 p.m. | Music Building, Room L6 "Findable. Referable. Hirable. Personal Branding for Musicians" Personal branding for musicians without the influencer energy. In this session, we'll discuss how reputation, proof, and professionalism turn into real opportunities, and how to build a presence that makes you findable, referable, and hirable. This semester’s program reflects our ongoing commitment to exploring creativity, interdisciplinary learning, and the evolving nature of artistic expression.
