All members of the campus and community are invited to the Fall '26 Swope Lecture on Tuesday, September 29, at 7:30pm in Schneebeck Concert Hall.  This Fall's Swope Lecturer is Mathew S. Nosanchuk, the Lerner Family Associate Dean for Public Interest and Public Service Law at George Washington University.  Dean Nosanchuk has had an extensive public interest career, including serving as President Obama's liaison to the American Jewish community in the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs; on the National Security Council staff; as Senior Counselor to the Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice; and as Senior Advisor in the Office for Religion and Global Affairs at the State Department.  

The Swope Endowed Lectures were created in honor of Jane Hammer Swope, Puget Sound Class of 1942, drawing from her Methodist roots to bring speakers that engage the campus on themes of faith, ethics, values, and religion in society.  The lecturers are selected and hosted by a committee of students, faculty, and staff chaired by University Chaplain Dave Wright '96.
