Ashley is a clinical doctoral psychology intern from Antioch University Seattle. Prior to coming to CHWS, Ashley graduated with a BA in psychology from Williams College, and received her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College. She also has a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. Ashley has experience providing crisis intervention, short-term therapy, and long-term therapy in hospitals, community mental health facilities, college counseling centers, and private practice settings. Ashley’s clinical interests include life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, human sexuality, and social justice work with historically oppressed communities. Her theoretical orientation is integrative. She primarily utilizes a psychodynamic orientation that is person-centered and developmentally oriented. She also integrates an intersectionality framework to address the social, cultural, and political factors that negatively impact individuals, particularly individuals with historically oppressed identities. Ashley takes a holistic approach to collaborating with the individual and explores strengths that can be harnessed to enhance resiliency. In her free time, Ashley enjoys attending different fitness classes, audiobooking, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog (Cosmo).
