Can you believe that it has been 15 years since your time at Puget Sound? No doubt the memories you cherish make it feel like it was just yesterday!

What are some of your favorite memories of your time at Puget Sound?

Field research in Arizona with Stacey Weiss. – Eileen Kennedy `07

Playing frisbee golf across campus at midnight, eating Belgian waffles made by caring staff every Saturday, choosing from the revolving smorgasbord of interesting and diverse activities each week to attend on campus (music, sports, lectures, clubs, special events, festivals), walking and talking with professors between classes, all the fantastic food in the cafeteria! Schiff outdoor activities with peers, towering Blue Babe greeting us over a huge fire in the student building on cold days, the mysterious rooftops and basements of various buildings, beautiful art everywhere, the old photography lab behind the art building, hidden library niches for studying, the arboretum during rainy days, the intense and challenging classes! I could go on and on about my memories - UPS was and still is what I thought the university experience should be. – Alexandria Maurer `07

Who were your favorite Puget Sound faculty and/or staff? What made them your favorite?

Stacey Weiss, Peter Wimberger, Gary Shugart, Kent Hooper, James Burnhard, Mike Valentine.  All amazing people, who really believed in me! – Eileen Kennedy `07

Suzanne Barnett holds the highest honor in my mind - she epitomized what I thought university professors would be like, and her classes what university education would be like. Professor Jan Leuchtenberger gave me the best advice of my life and guided me well as an advisor. Chris Gerteis led students to question everything critically. Jonathan Stockdale quietly and effectively pulled apart everything we thought we knew and helped us rebuild to higher standards. – Alexandria Maurer `07

Professor West at the writing center.  Her patience and her depth of knowledge on writing, reading, and building vocabularies had lead me to succeed in many areas. – Christie Su `07
