What has been your favorite academic experience at Puget Sound and why?

My second semester freshman seminar class has got to be one of the best academic experiences I’ve had at Puget Sound. It was taught out of the religious studies department and was titled "Religion on the Border: Boundaries of Religion and Politics". It explored how borders both physical and metaphorical create geo-political disputes and shape how cultures interact around the world. The class and professor were fantastic and were one of the main reasons that I changed my major to religion. The professor is now my advisor and one of my favorite people on campus!

What is your favorite Puget Sound tradition?

I really love going to RDG, which is the massive dance show every semester. While I personally can’t dance, I love going and supporting my friends and cheering everyone on. It’s always so fun to see the performance and run in to everyone in the auditorium.

Where is your favorite study spot on campus?

I love to study in the back room of the first floor of the library. It’s a great place to study if you want to do equal parts talking with friends and actually focusing. I always run in to friends and have had lots of good laughs back there.

What is your favorite SUB meal/hack?

The best sub hack is getting chicken and pasta from pasta station, pesto from the sandwich station and tomatoes and spinach from salad bar and mixing them all together.
