Museum Hours

The museum is open to visitors Wednesday - Friday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for drop-in tours. While our doors are open during these hours, we are a small museum and ask that groups larger than 4 make appointments for tours to ensure that a staff member or volunteer is available during your visit. If you wish to visit the museum, please email us at slatermuseum@pugetsound.edu to schedule a tour or read more about what kinds of tours we offer on our Tours Page. Please note that the museum is not open on weekends and is also closed during University of Puget Sound holidays.

Check out our Events Page to learn about other ways to visit the museum!

Can't make it to the museum in-person? Check out our Virtual Tours on YouTube!

Parking & Entrance into Thompson Hall

Visitors to the museum can either park in the lot directly south of Thompson Hall or find street parking around campus. If you park in the lot south of Thompson Hall, you can enter the building through the south-east doors and walk up the stairs to the museum. If you've parked elsewhere around campus, you may also enter the building through Harned Hall, which is connected to Thompson. The Harned Hall entrance is directly off of N Union Ave. To get to the museum through this entrance, continue straight through the atrium and into the courtyard. Once in the courtyard, you will continue straight into Thompson Hall and find yourself directly in front of the museum.
