We are excited at the start of the new year and the opening of the new Expeditionary. The space will make room for all of us to be under one roof. The Expeditionary will house the bike shop, rental and trip information, office space for the PSO Trip Coordinators, Bike Shop, and Climbing Program.
Weekend trips:
- See the webpage, information board in the basement of the WSC or come to the Expeditionary for more information. During the winter and early spring look for indoor climbing, snowshoeing, XC skiing, the Mountain Shuttle, snow camping and more.
- Mountain shuttle - join us for a trip to ski, board, snowshoe or sled at the Summit. Each Saturday in February the Mountain shuttle will leave campus at 7:30am and return by 6pm. Bring a few friends and get a ride with us. Cost of the trips is $3...thats cheaper than gas. Sign-up at the Expeditionary and meet at outside Diversions Cafe on Saturday morning.

'OLE' Outdoor Leadership Experience:
If you are interested in leading trips for PSO or for Passages then find out more and get involved with PSO through OLE. Information and applications will be out on February 1 and due February 24.
Outdoor Skills Courses:
- Avalanche Awarenss and Level 1 Course Information:
February 20 8am - 3pm in class on campus plus 1 field day cost is $205 for the Puget Sound Community
This course is for mountaineers, skiers, borders and backcountry enthusiasts who will be travelling in avalanche terrain. The course includes 6 hours of in-class time and 1 day of field time. An additional day of field time is required to receive a Level 1 certification. The course is offered through the Gary Brill Avalanche Education program.

- Wilderness First Aid Courses:
The WFA course is coming up in May after graduation. This is a great course to take to learn the basics of taking care of yourself and others outdoors. If you want to lead trips for Pso, Passages or for summer courses this is the first course you will need take. The next course offered at Puget Sound is a WFA course May 17-19, 2010
