Happy 80th Anniversary, Adelphians!

The Adelphian Concert Choir, Puget Sound’s renowned choral ensemble, celebrates its 80th Anniversary during Homecoming & Family Weekend Oct. 26–28, 2012. All Adelphian alumni are invited to return to campus for a weekend of reminisces, rekindled friendships, and glorious music making. The choir’s alumni will be able to participate in a memorable concert with current Adelphians on Sunday, Oct. 28. Rehearsals will be held throughout the weekend, beginning on Thursday, Oct. 25. Join fellow Adelphians for this exciting reunion! The preregistration deadline has been extended to Sept. 1! Register now to ensure music packet, t-shirt, and brunch.

Founded in 1932, the 48-voice Adelphian Concert Choir is one of the signature groups of the university and is recognized as one of the Northwest’s most acclaimed ensembles. For more than 70 years this auditioned choir has sustained a level of choral excellence that has brought accolades from audiences in Canada, Europe, and on the West Coast. It has appeared at the state, regional, and national conventions of both the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference. Consistently, the Adelphians receive the highest acclaim for standards in repertoire, interpretation, and musicianship

Adelphians Releases Reflections CD

The Adelphian Concert Choir released their first CD in five years, Reflections: 2008-11. Featuring music from the past three years, the CD includes works by Brahms, Berger, Chorbajian, Christiansen, Parker, Paynter, and Whitacre, among others. Reflections is available for purchase at the University Bookstore.
