  • Campus Systems Unavailable Due to Scheduled Maintenance 09/18/2016 [completed]

    [update 09/18/2016 10:00 a.m.] Our scheduled production server patch maintenance has been completed successfully.​​

    [original] Production server patch maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, September 18, from 3:00 a.m. until noon. During this time, all campus systems will be intermittently or entirely unavailable. Affected services include the university website, myPugetSound, PeopleSoft, Cascade, Moodle, campus file servers, and Exchange (email and calendar). An update will be posted once this maintenance is completed.

    Technology Services schedules regular maintenance windows, generally on the second Sunday of every month, to ensure a secure, reliable computing environment. Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work!

    [Original Post] Our server administrators informed us that some members of the campus community may experience delays in sending email. They are currently investigating the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    [update 08/07/2016 12:25 p.m.] Patching has been completed. There’s a sign-in issue with cascade-test that will be resolved at a later time.

    [original] Pre-Production Server Patch Maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, 08/07/2016, from 8 am. to 5 pm. This should NOT affect any production services such as email, individual and departmental file shares, database applications, or web services (Moodle, vDesk, etc.).   • Campus Systems Unavailable Due to Scheduled Maintenance 07/10/2016 [completed]

    [update 07/10/2016 12:45 p.m.] The single sign on component of Cascade has been finished.

    This concludes our planned patch maintenance and database migration for this weekend.

    [update 07/10/2016 11:55 a.m.] We’re nearly complete with our work except for the single sign on component in Cascade is still outstanding. This will only affect users attempting to log into Cascade via the web. The other back-end processes in Cascade are verified operational.

    Our database migration to the new storage array was successful and PeopleSoft is fully operational.

    The rest of our production systems have been successfully patched.

    An update will be made when the single sign on component has been fixed. This is expected to be resolved this afternoon.

    Network Services will be performing some important battery replacement in Jones at 10pm. The interruption should last about 5 minutes.
