Go Loggers!

The University of Puget Sound Department of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation is dedicated to providing quality programs and athletic experiences which assist in complementing and fulfilling the college's educational objectives of academic excellence.

About Our Athletics Program

Puget Sound’s varsity athletes are students first. Across campus, you find Loggers living the student-athlete experience — art historian-rowers, astronomer-lacrosse players, pianist-hoopsters. Student-athletes are master jugglers — tested and practiced in the challenges of time management and organization. They are better students because they are athletes, and better athletes because they are serious students.

Almost 20 percent of Puget Sound students don the maroon and white uniforms of the Loggers. Logger athletic teams consistently advance to postseason competition among more than 400 NCAA Division III teams. With 11 men’s and 12 women’s teams, Puget Sound offers more varsity sports than any other NCAA Division III school in the Northwest Conference, and the Loggers have captured 40 Northwest Conference Championships since joining the conference in 1999.
