Dear Members of the Puget Sound Community,

At Puget Sound we aim to create an inclusive environment in which every person is welcomed and respected, and where all students can pursue an education free of harassment.

Security Services has informed the university's administration of recent postings of stickers with White Supremacist messaging, approximately 3-inches square, discovered in several locations on campus and in the surrounding neighborhood. All of the stickers that have been discovered have been removed, and Security Services is continuing to monitor this hateful activity on our campus. We ask that you heighten your awareness on campus regarding this type of activity and that you report any activity you observe to Security Services, 253.879.3311, so we can continue our work to maintain a safe and inclusive campus.

For those who would like to speak with someone for support, please contact me at vpdiversity@pugetsound.edu; or Chaplain Dave Wright ’96, dwright@pugetsound.edu.

Sincerely,

Lorna Hernandez Jarvis | Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity
