Rush Hour Challenge—UNLOCKED

The Rush Hour Challenge unlocked the first of our Logger Day Challenge "power hour" digital swag: "Loggertones!

Download "Hack Hack, Chop Chop" (recorded by current students) or "Puget Sound Alma Mater" (recorded on the violin by Professor Music Maria Sampen), directly to your phone, and set it as your ringtone—or as a special ringtone for your favorite Logger contacts.

Desktop: Right click on the "Loggertone" link you want to download and select "Download file as" or "Save link as" to save the file to your computer.

Mobile: Click on the "Loggertone" link you want to download, then click the download button in the player toolbar.

Make a "Loggertone" Your Ringtone

ANDROID

  • Download “Hack Hack, Chop Chop” or “Puget Sound Alma Mater” to your phone.
  • Open your Settings app.
  • Click on Sounds and Vibrations.
  • Click on Ringtone.
  • Select the “Loggertone” you want to set as your default ringtone. (Use Sound Picker to find the .mp3 file in your phone’s storage.) 
  • Set the “Loggertone” as a specific contact’s ringtone by editing your contact’s information and setting a custom ringtone.

iPHONE

  • Download “Hack Hack, Chop Chop” or “Puget Sound Alma Mater” to your phone.
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer.
  • Click on the iPhone icon to open the iPhone page and display your phone’s content in iTunes.
  • Click on the “Tones” button.
  • Add the ringtone to the Tones page by dragging the .m4r file to the iTunes window.
  • Click the “Sync” button. (This should take just a few seconds.)

To set your iPhone ringtone:

  • Open your Settings app.
  • Click on the “Sounds” or “Sounds & Haptics” button.
  • Tap the “Ringtone” button.
  • Select the ringtone you want to serve as your default ringtone! 
  • To set the “Loggertone” as a specific contact’s ringtone, edit your contact’s information and set the custom ringtone. 

Please note that these instructions may not be exactly right for your specific phone. If you have trouble setting a “Loggertone” as your ringtone, consult your nearest 14 year old or ask Google or Siri!
