They are Puget Sound.
The Orientation Program Coordinators (Coords for short!) are four student leaders that help plan the Orientation Program every year! From planning leader training to organizing transportation for 600+ people to working with countless on and off-campus groups and organizations, they do it all!
The Coords for 2018 are:
Erin McMillin (She/Her/Hers)
Erin hails from wonderful, Wheat Ridge, Colorado and she is about to start her senior year at UPS! She is double majoring in International Political Economy and Natural Science with an emphasis in Biology. Erin absolutely loves the Orientation community and is so stoked to join the coordination team! Erin is most frequently found chasing down frisbees with the UPS Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team (@wutwutclearcut), singing the low notes in What She Said Acapella, or exploring the cascades with Puget Sound Outdoors. Erin’s biggest idols in life are Kim Possible, Ginny Weasley, and Lassie the Dog.
Gabrielle Kolb (She/Her/Hers)
Gabrielle comes from the great state of Minnesota where she has swam in approximately twenty of its 10,000 lakes. Entering her senior year of college, Gabrielle will be spending most of her time brewing up lattes in Diversions Cafe and working as a writing tutor in the Center of Writing, Learning and Teaching. As a Politics and Government major who has just returned from nine months studying across Asia, she loves to talk about the region's rise in the global economy. She also enjoys talking about how much she loves eating cookie dough and buying cheap cheese. She is so excited to welcome all the incoming students to the Puget Sound community!
Heather Rose Stegman (She/Her/Hers)
Heather Rose is from the colorful flatirons of Boulder, Colorado. She came up to the PNW three years ago, and has since fallen in love with the outdoors and the friends she has found at Puget Sound. She is a rising senior, majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Neuroscience and Studio Art. She loves learning and school, and is a chair of the psychology honor society, Psi Chi. Last summer Heather Rose conducted research in neuroscience using EEG, where she got to put goo on people’s heads. She can be found working (aka goofing off) as a barista in Oppenheimer Cafe, where she also spends most of her time studying. Heather Rose has participated in Orientation as a leader for the past two years and can’t wait to be a coordinator for Orientation 2018! Orientation has helped shape her into the person she is today and she is excited to share that magic with the leaders and new students.
Kevin Le (He/Him/His)
Kevin is from sunny San Jose, California! He is a rising Senior this year and is a Natural Science major with an emphasis in Geology. When he isn’t talking about his lab samples or a cool rock he found, you can find Kevin hanging out in the SUB, typing away at his computer and trying to balance a dozen tasks at once. On campus, Kevin works at the Dean of Students Office as the Office Assistant and is involved in Greek Life as the Interfraternity Council (IFC) President! Last summer, he did Geology research out on the Olympic Peninsula, mapping fault lines. While he will miss field work, he definitely won't miss all of the mosquitoes! This will be Kevin’s third year with Orientation and he is just so incredibly excited to help lead this spectacular program. Orientation, both as a new student and as a leader, was a life changing experience for him and he can’t wait to help facilitate a similar experience for everyone else! It's gonna be LIT!
