Good greetings! My name is Hannah Borgerson and I am delighted to be an orientation coordinator this year. I am a Sociology & Anthropology major with minors in Spanish and Education Studies. When I am not in the Student affairs office obsessing over schedules, I can be spotted frolicking around the gym, snagging free mayonnaise packets by the sub, attending Peer Ally meetings, organizing food justice programs for the Center for Intercultural and Civic Engagement, and leading trips for Puget Sound Outdoors. In the spurts of free time that I do occasionally have during the day, I enjoy catching up with people and telling stories. I truly believe that the stories we tell in our lives (the happy, the painful, the angry and the goofy) are wonderful windows into this wild world we live in.

Hey y’all! I am a rising senior pursuing a degree in Hispanic Studies and Chemistry. If you run into me on campus, I’m usually talking about Minnesota, lifting weights, going to labs or giving campus tours. After graduation, I hope to continue my education in medical school and become a doctor in pediatrics. In my free time (when there is any), I like to cook, go to brunch and go for runs down by the sound. I am very excited to be spending the summer in sunny Tacoma and preparing for Orientation this upcoming August. Orientation is such a special time of year for me and the campus community (move-in day is my favorite day of the year). I always get very sentimental when I see new students experiencing orientation events for this first time just as I did as an incoming student three years ago. I love orientation and, I can’t wait to see you all in August. GO LOGGERS!

Hey there! I am a Music and Religion double major here at Puget Sound, and am so excited to be one of the Orientation Coordinators for this year! My time at Puget Sound has been filled with singing in Adelphian Concert Choir, Voci D'Amici and What She Said Acappella. When I'm not in the practice rooms, you can find me giving tours or sitting in Diversions Cafe, pretending to do homework. I love spending time on the beaches of my sunny home in San Diego or my favorite place in the world, Lake Tahoe. As you can see from my photo, ice cream is my favorite treat-- this summer I plan to spend as much time eating at Ice Cream Social as I do planning Orientation! I chose Puget Sound in part because of our Orientation program, and I am stoked to play a part in planning the program that has been such a big part of my Puget Sound experience! See you in August!

Hi friends! My name is Lauren Stainback! I am a Politics major on the International Relations track and a Biology minor. I am from sunny Carlsbad California, but on campus you can find me in Diversions procrastinating by reading the news, in the Expeditionary helping out with PSO, or in the Cellar making some sweet pizzas! Additionally, I can often be found complaining about the weather at all times of the year (it’s cold in WA!), attempting to learn how to skateboard on campus and often falling, or gallivanting on outdoors adventures around Washington state. My favorite part of Orientation over the past few years has been having the opportunity to see the community it helps create on campus. The bonds between the new students and leaders are one of a kind. I truly found my place at Puget Sound through being a Passages leader and I can not wait to share that with all of you! I’m counting down the days till August!
