Hurley Community Service Scholarship
The Hurley Community Service Scholarship was established to encourage students to engage in planned and focused community service projects that will impact their life today and after they leave Puget Sound.
Project proposals should fill an existing community need and must include collaboration with at least one community organization. For information about local agencies, contact the Puget Sound Center for Intercultural and Civic Engagement at 3219 N. 13th Street.
One scholarship ranging usually between $3,000-4,500 will be awarded to a currently enrolled student. The scholarship recipient is expected to commit an average of 5 hours per week to pursue their project under the mentorship of the Associate Director for Civic Engagement & Leadership. The recipient will be required to submit a mid-year progress report after fall semester and a final report at the end of the academic year. The committee may choose to interview up to three finalists prior to offering an award.
Applications for 2019-2020 are closed.
