Mike Segawa, Dean of Students

Mike SegawaMike is responsible for the Division of Student Affairs at Puget Sound which includes Residence Life, Greek Life, Orientation, Puget Sound Outdoors, Student Conduct, Counseling, Health and Wellness, the Office of Intercultural Engagement, Off-Campus Student Affairs, and Spiritual Life and Civic Engagement. He spent 9 years at The Evergreen State College as the Director of Housing and 12 years before that working Residential Life at the University of Washington.

He enjoys spending time in leadership roles with Student Affairs professional associations and has served on a number of Executive Boards and chaired national and regional conferences. He has recently completed service as President of NASPA, a national Student Affairs association with 1,400 institutional members and over 12,000 individual members.

He and his wife are the proud parents of a son who is a recent graduate of Western Washington University and a daughter who is attending Washington University in St. Louis. On most summer weekends, you can find Mike with family and friends at Safeco Field for Mariner games.
