However you identify, this group will help you discover or clarify how you’re living your identity and how you can move towards living it the way you want to. This group will be a safe, positive, supportive group of peers meeting each week to explore and discuss the experiences, ideas, challenges, and joys of being LGBTQ. Through authentically engaging with others on similar paths, you will gain insight into your own way of being and learn more about how you want to grow and develop as an LGBTQ person. Together we will challenge each other to think differently, grow in new ways, and become even more ourselves. This group will meet Wednesdays 5-6:30pm throughout the year. This group is intended to offer a safe, compassionate space for racially minoritized students to share their experiences, and be a place of encouragement, understanding, and validation. Are you your own worst critic? Are you interested in being more compassionate to yourself but afraid that doing so will take away your motivation to achieve? Are you curious about self-compassion, but don’t know how to turn off old critical tapes? Then this might be just the group for you! The Self-Compassion Group will be a group of 6 students who will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm for 10 weeks. Each week will build on the week prior, therefore those interested should be able to commit to the full 10 weeks. This group is open to all genders and identities.
