Student Forums with Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity Finalists (Students)

Dear students,

The search for Puget Sound’s inaugural Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity (VPIED) continues to progress. We are happy to report that we had a strong pool of applicants for the position. The applicants appreciated the transparency and institutional self-awareness articulated in the position profile. From this strong pool of applicants we have invited four candidates to participate in virtual finalist interviews in early March.

Each finalist will participate in a student forum as part of their process. The dates and times for, along with links to join the student forums are listed at the end of this email. The student forums are intended for students only. To protect the privacy of our candidates, please do not share the log-in information. Each student forum will be convened and coordinated by one of the students who served on the search committee. Effective engagement with our students will be critical to the role of the VPIED. Therefore, your participation in this process and your feedback will be greatly valued.

Finalists will also participate in a campuswide forum. Students are welcome to attend both the campus and student forums. Information about the timing of those forums and how to access candidate application materials will be distributed in advance of each finalist’s virtual interview.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions.
