Symphony Orchestra

The Symphony Orchestra celebrates Puget Sound, with works by Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw, South American composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, French composer André Jolivet, and English composer Edward Elgar, and "Tango Symphonique," composed by Aric Mac David ’20. Performance features 2019 Concerto-Aria competition winners Emma Lenderink '20, flute; Rosie Rogers '20, bassoon; and Eliott Wells '21, cello. And we are pleased to present the Distinguished Alumni Award to Neal Bernsten ’82, trumpet, of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass.
