Mini Maestros Concert Series: Around the World in 80 Drums!

Tickets Required

Around the World in 80 Drums is a concert that features the percussion section. Take a whirlwind tour with the musicians to explore elements of rhythm, timbre, and pulse using percussion instruments from around the world. The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. Join us an hour before the concert at 1:30 p.m. for the instrument "Petting Zoo."

The University of Puget Sound Community Music Department is pleased to partner with Symphony Tacoma and Ted Brown Music to present the Mini Maestros Concert Series for young children 2–8 years old. With curriculum prepared by early childhood learning experts, each 45-minute concert gives young audience members an interactive opportunity to learn about the different instruments of the orchestra.

Tickets may be purchased through the Symphony Tacoma website at symphonytacoma.org. Remaining available tickets will be sold at the door. The Community Music Department is a year round music program offering music lessons and classes on the University of Puget Sound campus for community members of all ages.
